Meet Your District Representative
I am J. Gary Wing, District 8 Representative. I grew up in the Tahlequah, Ok. area with a dad who was an electrician and rancher until he died when I was 10 and with a mother who was the Cherokee County Treasurer for many years. We are members of the Cherokee Nation, and proud of that part of our heritage. I have always loved hearing the family stories that I heard when I was growing up. My grandmother Annis Wing was an especially good storyteller and stoked my desire to learn more about my heritage. When I heard that there was a Wing Family of America I joined immediately, and I am so thankful to those folks who got the organization going in the past and those great folks who keep it going now. I have been a WFA District 8 Representative for several years and have seen many great improvements due to the visions of the WFA leadership.
Like many young people, I loved to play basketball and baseball/softball in high school and into adulthood. I graduated from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah with an undergraduate and Masters Degree in Education. I have taught school, coached, and was an Administrator for many years. I am now working at Northeastern State University as an Intern Coordinator.
My wife is Jeanna Wing nee Mallow who grew up in the Lowery, Oklahoma area and attended Kansas High School and Northeastern State University earning Accounting and German degrees. Together we have three children: Amy Brill, Julie Hicks, and Craig Wing. We are also blessed with five grandchildren: Sarah, Tyler, Chase, Sawyer and Dylan. Jeanna was a great athlete excelling in running, billards, racquetball, golf, and about anything she tried. She worked and retired from Northeastern State University.

Together we raise beef cattle and count the blessings that the good Lord has given us.
