Battlefield Tour Options
OPTION 1 - Virtual Tour
Follow the Virtual Tour on your cell phone provided by the National Park Service. In fact, you can visit the park this way even before you leave home. And it’s free!
OPTION 2 – Self-Guided Tours
Self-guided tours of the battlefield available from The Gettysburg Heritage Center via download for $15. You can also find many others in apps available in your app store. Search: Gettysburg Tour
OPTION 3 – Personal Tour in your Vehicle

Your driver is a licensed battlefield guide, whom you make arrangements with by calling the Licensed Battlefield Guide Reservations line at 717-337-1709*. You schedule a time to meet your licensed battlefield guide during your stay. You provide the car…or find someone in our group who has a car. The guide will drive you in your car (that’s right) from the Battlefield Center and will stop at main sites in a two-hour tour for $70…focusing on things you are interested in. This fee is set by the NPS and is payable directly to the individual guide at the time of the tour. Gratuities are at your discretion. This fee covers up to six people in a car, but remember, you have to leave room for the driver.
*The hotline is an answering machine used by the guides to contact you to make arrangements for your tour. Know when you want the tour day/time and the number in your group. Leave a message with the information requested. Someone will be back in touch to finalize your arrangements…generally the same evening. All guides use this hotline, so do not call back before you are contacted as it could result in duplicate reservations.
